Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using UserProbe (a WedgeWerks™ product), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Description of Service

UserProbe is a tool for conducting adaptive user interviews. You provide a research goal, we generate interview questions, and you share a link with participants. UserProbe adapts follow-up probes based on responses and generates summary reports with themes, quotes, and suggested next steps.

MVP status: UserProbe is an early-stage product. Features may change, and availability is not guaranteed.

Account Registration and Responsibilities

To use UserProbe, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Ensuring your email address is current and accessible.

You may not share your account credentials or use another person's account without permission.

Free and Pro Plans

UserProbe offers two plans:

  • Free: 1 study, 20 responses, with adaptive follow-ups and summary reports.
  • Pro ($29/month): Unlimited studies, 500 responses per study, priority for AI enrichment (when API keys are configured).

Usage limits are enforced per plan. If you exceed your plan's limits, you must upgrade or delete existing content.

Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use UserProbe for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws.
  • Collect personal data from participants without proper consent.
  • Attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Upload malicious code, spam, or content that violates third-party rights.
  • Abuse rate limits or attempt to circumvent usage restrictions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

AI-Generated Content and No Quality Guarantees

UserProbe may use AI (via optional third-party providers) to generate questions, probes, and reports. AI-generated content is provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or suitability.

You are responsible for reviewing and validating all AI-generated content before relying on it. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI output.

Intellectual Property and Ownership

Your content: You retain ownership of study goals, questions, responses, and reports you create. By using UserProbe, you grant us a license to process and store your content as necessary to provide the service.

UserProbe brand and technology: UserProbe, WedgeWerks, and all associated branding, code, and design are owned by WedgeWerks and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our technology without permission.

Third-Party Services

UserProbe integrates with third-party services (e.g., Stripe for payments, optional AI providers). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service performance or data practices.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

UserProbe is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WedgeWerks and UserProbe are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or deleting your account through the service (when available).

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your access ends, and we may delete your data per our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of UserProbe after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where WedgeWerks operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
