Introduction
UserProbe (a WedgeWerks™ product) provides adaptive user interview tools for founders and product teams. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What Data We Collect
When you use UserProbe, we may collect:
- Account information: Your email address and name (provided during sign-up).
- Study content: Study goals, questions, interview responses, and generated reports you create or receive.
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and device/browser information.
- Billing identifiers: If you upgrade to Pro, we collect billing details via Stripe (Stripe's privacy policy applies).
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the UserProbe service (generating questions, probes, and reports).
- Authenticate your account and enforce usage limits (free vs. Pro).
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send service-related emails (e.g., study share links, account updates).
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance.
AI processing: If you configure optional AI enrichment (via your own API keys), study content may be sent to third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) under their terms. We do not control or guarantee AI output quality.
Data Sharing and Processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted processors to operate the service:
- Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel (hosting), Neon or equivalent (database).
- Payments: Stripe (if you upgrade to Pro).
- Optional AI providers: If you enable AI features with your own keys, your content is sent to the provider you configure.
Each processor operates under their own privacy policies. We use processors that comply with industry-standard data protection practices.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account data and study content as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and study content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for billing purposes.
To request account deletion, contact us at the email below.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- Access to your personal data.
- Correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion of your data (right to be forgotten).
- Objection to certain processing activities.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
Cookies and Tracking
UserProbe uses cookies for authentication (session management) and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, but this may limit functionality.
Security
We use industry-standard security practices (HTTPS, secure sessions, encrypted database connections) to protect your data. However, no system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it to us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of UserProbe after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
